The Aburame Clan

The Aburame Clan is characterized by their use of insects as weapons. Specifically named 'Destruction Bugs', these insects live in symbiosis within the body of the shinobi. At birth, members of this clan are offered to a special breed of insects called 'kikaichū' as a nest, residing just under their host's skin. The clan members may also carry additional bugs in jars or gourds with them on missions. The insects can leave and enter their host's body through various pores, upon command on the user. Finally, they feed on chakra as a food source, making them quite deadly.

The relationship between the shinobi and the insects is mutually beneficial. The host grants the bugs shelter and allows them to feed off their chakra, their body becoming a living hive of tens of thousands of these bugs, and in return the bugs do the user's bidding, allowing the shinobi to perform ninjutsu-like techniques without the use of hand seals or chakra conversion. As a bonus, a female bug can be left on a target, which then can be tracked by smell by the male bug, or scout bugs can be sent out and return to tell the host information about the area. For this reason, Aburame clan members are experts in espionage; they can communicate with the bugs, and the bugs specialize in stealth because they make no noise or motion during combat.

In addition to utilizing insects in battle, the Aburame clan also studies insects. Because of this, they are rivals of the Kamizuru clan, the bee users. A major defining trait of the Aburame clan is that all of its known members wear dark sunglasses that hide their eyes as well as wear clothing that covers up most of their body. Even though their bug-related techniques are known only amongst the clan, a select few possess a special type of bug that is rare even among the clan's members. finally, all Aburame clan members possess the ability to communicate with other bugs and insects.

2. Aburame are only capable of using insect-related summoning families.

Kikaichuu no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu utilized by the Aburame clan. At birth, the user is serves to host as a nest for the Kikaichuu. In exchange for allowing them to feed off their chakra, the bugs will do the bidding of the user. These insects are capable of seeking out the chakra of the opponent, draining it (High per turn), and giving it to the user (Mid per turn), increasing their own reserve.

Note: By default, members of the Aburame clan begin every battle with 2,000 bugs.

Bousui no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu utilized by the Aburame clan. Using the Kikaichuu within their body, the user will disperse them in a spiraling motion, using them to bind their opponent, preventing them from retaliating while they drain chakra (see Kikaichuu no Jutsu).

Mushi Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu utilized by the Aburame clan. After performing the necessary hand seals, the user is able to create replicas of themselves using their insects. Once the clone is hit, it will disperse back into the bugs that formed it. They are not capable of using any techniques, but can still absorb chakra (see Kikaichuu no Jutsu).

Mushi Dama is a Ninjutsu utilized by the Aburame clan. Using the Kikaichuu within their body, the user will disperse their bugs over a large area, convalescing into a sphere before surrounding their target and absorbing their chakra (see Kikaichuu no Jutsu).

Mushi Jamingu no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu by the Aburame clan. Using the Kikaichuu within their body, the user will disperse their bugs over a large area, spreading them around to disrupt sensory techniques. Since they share the same chakra signature, this effectively hides them.

Mushi Kabe no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu by the Aburame clan. After performing the necessary hand seals, the clan user will expel the destruction bugs living in their body. The bugs will surround the member and fly at a high rate of speed forming a protective wall vortex. This vortex can deflect projectiles and utterly annihilate incoming bug-based assaults. The vortex can be disrupted and the clan members inside rendered vulnerable if sufficient explosive force is expended outside the protective shell.

Mushi Yose no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu utilized by the Aburame clan. After performing the necessary hand seals, the clan user will place their hand to a surface and extend a web-like chakra lure to insects in the surrounding area to their location. Running this web over the area will cause any nearby bugs to walk up into it and follow it back to the source.

Note: This technique gathers non-Kikaichuu, equaling 250 insects.

Ningen Mayu is a Ninjutsu utilized by the Aburame clan. Using the Kikaichuu within their body, they will spit silk around the user, covering them before hardening into a cocoon. While in this cocoon, the user is unable to attack, but it boasts high defensive power (immune to all damage from techniques of b-rank and below). Once struck with enough force, the cocoon will fall apart. This can be used to spy on/hide from an enemy and is known to be waterproof.

Mushi Mayu is a Ninjutsu utilized by the Aburame clan. After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will encase themselves within a chakra cocoon, accelerating the development speed of the Kikaichuu. They are unable to move during this process, making this dangerous to use during battle. Most of the time, this can avoided by finding a secure location or having a teammate to protect them.

Note: This technique grants 1,000 insects per turn.

Mushi Tatsumaki is a Ninjutsu utilized by the Aburame clan. After performing the necessary hand seals, the user will disperse their Kikaichuu around their opponent, having the insects surround them in the form of a tornado. They rapidly spin around them, absorbing chakra from the distance (see Kikaichuu no Jutsu).

Kudaichuu Mushikui (Parasitic Giant Insect Bug Bite)

One of the more vicious and lethal Aburame techniques, the clan member will place a number of kidaichū onto the skin of an enemy. These insects immediately burrow into the victim's body and begin to devour its flesh and chakra at an alarming rate, sending waves of excruciating pain throughout the victim's body. This process causes the insects to grow rapidly in size, until the host body is completely eaten away from the inside out. The insects will then revert to their original size and retreat to their primary host body.

Note: This technique requires direct physical contact between the user and victim, using whatever appendage the intended insects dwell upon. These bugs have a dormant phase equivalent to one turn after they have been inserted into the victim, at which time they can be killed by a "overloading" their systems via a surge of chakra equivalent to x2 high per insect.

Failure to eliminate these bugs during their dormant phase will result in the bugs growing incredibly large as they begin to devour the user's chakra and flesh. The pain is absolutely excruciating. Destroying the insects at this point - two posts after insertion - is quite difficult, requiring a surge of chakra equivalent to x3 high per insect.

By the third post, the bugs have reached their maximum size - roughly the size of a fully matured man's torso - and have likely devoured the majority of their target. Death is painful, but certain. It should be noted that this scaling and timing is based on humanoid sizes; inserting them into something such as a summon will require indefinitely longer periods of time.

Nanosaizu no Dokumushi (Nano-Sized Venomous Insects)

Nanosaizu no Dokumushi is a Ninjutsu utilized by the Aburame clan. The clan member will perform a ritual (through use of Human Cocoon ICly, lasting for 7 days, changing the Kikaichuu in their body into a new breed. While they lose their ability to absorb chakra, they are now capable of poisoning those touched by the user. They spread 25% throughout the body during each post, with 100% being the highest, killing the victim. If the user touches the infected location, they can reverse the effects of the technique. Once this change happens, it is impossible to turn back.

Note: Ningen Mayu is required to use this technique. Knowledge of this technique is extremely rare, and thusly a user must perform a special s-rank quested in order to obtain it.
